Big rig goes up in flames at I-75 truck stop

CARYVILLE/PIONEER, TN (WLAF) – It was a tense scene Wednesday night at TA Truck Stop #255 when a big rig burst into flames.

The Caryville Fire Department responded with multiple departments and agencies rushing to Exit 141 of I-75 to assist. “It was fully involved when we arrived just before 8pm,” said CFD Chief Eddie Hatmaker. The call came in at 7:49pm with fire departments from Jacksboro and La Follette also answering along with Caryville Police, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management Agency.
