CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – The morning’s wind may have played a part in a tree falling onto I-75.

The tree fell into the windshield of an 18-wheeler early Monday morning on I-75 near Mile Marker 133 on the southbound side near Caryville.

The call came in at 3:15am to central dispatch. It was reported that the driver thought he had some glass in his eyes. Traffic was slow going through the accident area for a while.

A tree also fell across Cherry Bottom Road around 4:30am Monday and another tree landed on Cedar Creek Road near the church at 5:15am. At 5:21am, the report of three trees down on Alder Springs Road, near the entrance to Deerfield, came in to central dispatch. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/06/2021-6AM)
