Charlie Eugene “Gene” Goins, age 88 of LaFollette

Charlie Eugene “Gene” Goins, age 88 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He professed faith in Christ, was baptized, and attended Alder Springs Church where he was a member of the Alder Springs Quartet. He was a longtime farmer and loving husband of 55 years. Always smiling and willing to help anyone. Preceded in death by parents Erastas and Maggie Bowman Goins, brothers James and Nolan Goins, sister Mary Miller, father and mother-in-law Roe and Minnie Belle Turner, sisters-in-law Bobbie Green, Hazel Underwood, Joyce Turner, Eva Swackhammer, Hattie Smith, Martha Helen Chapman, brother-in-law Billie Turner.

Survivors:

Wife: Minnie “Penny” Turner Goins

Sister: Bonnie Parker of LaFollette

Sisters-in-Law: Mickey (Bill) Floyd of LaFollette.

Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriner Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

The family will receive friends 12 Noon to 1 PM Friday November 26 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with service following at 1 PM, Rev. Bill Braden, Rev. George Bollinger officiating. Interment in Victory Cemetery.
