J.D. Anderson, age 84, of Jacksboro, Tennessee; went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving nephew, Wayne and wife Tracy Anderson. J.D. was born August 2, 1937, in Royal Blue (Campbell County), Tennessee to the late Millard and Gracie (Rutherford) Anderson. J.D. enjoyed helping people. He would have helped a total stranger if they asked. He loved being around his family, riding his tractor, and going down to the spring. He truly loved the outdoors. He was always very thankful. He made it a point to thank you and to thank the Lord. He loved listening to Gospel music. He loved honey buns, moon pies, bananas, and sandwiches. And we cannot forget that he loved his tobacco- Rex OX twist and cup. And his favorite saying was “I love every bone in ya body.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, DT, Lonis, and William Henry “Bill” Anderson and infant brother, Charles Edward Anderson; sisters, Lillie Mae Dulin and Ola Jean Lane, and sister-in-law, Jewel Anderson; brother-in-law, Buck Dulin

J.D. is survived by his brothers, Frank Anderson of Hohenwald, TN., Earnest Anderson and wife Eva of Jacksboro, TN., Odell Anderson and wife June of New Braunfels, TX., AL Anderson and wife Angie of Seguin, TX; sisters, Ima Jean Gibson of Jacksboro, TN., and Betty Lockey and husband Jim of Texas; sisters-in-law, Rachel Anderson and Lois Anderson; brother-in-law, JC Lane. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to his caregivers brother Earnest and wife Eva also nephew Wayne and wife Tracy. They were there for him 24/7.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Caryville, TN with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Ron Williams officiating.
