Multiple units with the La Follette Fire Department battled a house fire Friday afternoon.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Around the lunch hour on Friday is when firefighters with the La Follette Fire Department were dispatched to the report of a house on fire in the Linden Park area of town.

Heavy smoke was through out the south La Follette home. LFD Assistant Fire Chief Eddie Hatmaker steadies the ladder for a fellow firefighter.

In the 100 block of East Kentucky Avenue, just off South Tennessee Avenue, is where the home was found on fire with heavy smoke coming from the attic.

Firefighter Joey Gilbert broke out a window to gain better access to the fire.
