LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Family members say Justin “Cody” Huff was dealt a bad hand in life. Huff died this morning shortly after allegedly being struck by a school bus.

Huff’s life had a couple of big swings this year; a high when his baby girl was born, and then a low when his father, Jay, died recently. “He was a fantastic brother and a wonderful father,” said sister Jessica, “losing our dad was really rough on him.”

In addition to his infant, he also has a son and a teenage daughter. “Cody always checked on them and was just crazy about them,” said Jessica.

The Campbell County High graduate was raised by his grandmother, Jay’s mother, and was like a second son to her.

“He was a regular at Krystal and Little Caesar’s (Pizza.) When the girls at Krystal heard the news, they touched base with us,” said Jessica.

Huff had worked at McDonald’s and Campos Foods, according to Jessica. He played and loved music, the drums and guitar, and was quite the artist. “He was a fantastic pencil artist,” said Jessica. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/05/2021-4PM)
