An accident in the turn lane in front of Logan’s Car Wash on the four lane in La Follette backed up traffic in the 7am hour on Wednesday.

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A major traffic jam on I-75 began at 3:21am on this Wednesday morning followed by another wreck at 5:03am on the Howard Baker Highway.

One lane of I-75 south is now open at Mile Marker 138. That’s in the construction zone between the Caryville and Oneida exits. A vehicle and an 18-wheeler wrecked shutting down both lanes for two hours.

What was first called in as a head-on crash ended up being two vehicles wrecking on the Howard Baker Highway just after 5am. It happened between the Pilot and the Pioneer Post Office.

There were no reports of injuries.

Accidents on White Oak Road as well as at Exit 134 on I-75 along with a wreck near the Racoon Valley Exit of I-75 southbound have happened this morning.

At 12:15pm, the call of a wreck with injury was called in to Central Dispatch. The mishap happened at Mile Marker 135, just north of Caryville, on the southbound side. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/27/2021-6AM)
