JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Sevier Smoky Bears bring a three-game winning streak to Reynolds Field on Friday night while the Campbell Cougars look for their 7th win of the season. Watch the game live right here over WLAF.

Sevier is 5 & 3 and is eight points away from a 7 & 1 mark after a single-point loss to West and coming up a touchdown short in its game with Carter.

Campbell closes out its home schedule tomorrow night on what is Senior Night. The Cougars are in the playoffs with one more region game remaining which will be at Oak Ridge on Oct. 29. The Oak Ridge game will determine if Campbell is the third seed in the post season or the fourth meaning either way, the Cougars will play their first round game on the road.

Last week, Campbell had a bye while Sevier blanked Heritage 42-0, the two teams only common opponent. The Cougars defeated Heritage 42-7. Both teams hosted Heritage.

Campbell’s standout running back C.J. Allen is healthy and ready for game action this week. He suffered a concussion in the Clinton game on October 1 and was forced to sit out practice and the Powell game the next week.

Sevier features two record setting players on both sides of the ball in quarterback #5 Collin Shannon (6-1 175 Sr.) and linebacker #43 Garrett Hawkins (6-2 200 Jr.). Shannon became Sevier’s all-time leading passer in the win over Heritage while Hawkins became the school’s all-time leading tackler on the same night. Campbell Coach Matt Price calls Shannon one of the top prospects in the state.

Price sees a lot of similarities between the two teams. “They both play hard and score a lot of points,” said Price.

Live coverage begins with Senior Night ceremonies at 6:40pm on Friday night on the WLAF – Doyle’s Tire Shop Sports Network. Les Martin, Voice of the Cougars, and Brent Allen on color send you the broadcast over AM 1450 and FM 100.9 with the telecast on WLAF-TV 12 as well as 1450wlaf.com, Facebook, YouTube, RokuTV and Amazon Firestick.
