Classmates Cindy (Marion) Chadwell, Don and Ella (Queener) Smith along with Doris (Wilson) Stanfield were among the members of the Class of 1965.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It was a good time had by all of the Jacksboro Eagles. The Jacksboro High School Class of 1965 reunited for its 56th reunion.

The Eagles gathered on Saturday, October 9, at the Jacksboro United Methodist Church Family Life Center.  

In the school year 1964-65, gasoline was 30 cents a gallon and a first class stamp was a nickel. Popular songs playing on the radio were Roy Orbison’s Pretty Woman along with Downtown from Petula Clark and the Supremes Baby Love.

Linda Agee was a teacher at Jacksboro High School in those days. Agee went on to become the principal of the Jacksboro Junior High/Middle School. That school was located in the same building that was the high school in 1965. The new gym at Jacksboro Middle School is named in honor of Linda Agee.

During their junior year is when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. That was November 22, 1963.
