According to Campbell County Rural Fire Service Chief John Watkins, the CCRFS has an annual projected operating budget of $80,000 and depends on community donations to raise over half of its funding.  Donations, such as this one from Chapman Hill Winery, are used to cover operating expenses, purchase much needed equipment, and as matching dollars to obtain grant funding.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/27/2021-6AM)
