OAK RIDGE, TN (WLAF) – The Lady Cougar Soccer team travelled to Oak Ridge Thursday evening for a district match up.

Oak Ridge came out and struck lightning quick scoring two goals within the first four minutes of the game.  Although down early, the Cougars played aggressive ball with speed not seen in recent games.  Aside from being unable to score in the first half, the Cougars kept the Wildcats from adding to their lead.  See Amber Cowell’s photo gallery of 115 snapshots HERE.

The second half started and saw the Wildcats scoring in the fifteenth minute making the score 3-0.  The Wildcats played a very physical game giving the Cougars multiple free kicks throughout the match.  Audry Biship took one of those free kicks and was able to arch it just out of the Wildcat’s goalkeeper’s reach making the score 3-1.

This would be the only goal scored from Campbell County, but Oak Ridge was able to add three more to their score which left the final tally 6-1.
