HARROGATE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The Campbell County JV Hoppers continued their winning streak Saturday evening by defeating the Cumberland Gap Panthers 20-14 in overtime at the Livesay Middle School football stadium.
The young Cougars scored early in the game and led the Panthers 6-0 at the half. The Panthers came back strong in the second half with the Cougars trailing 14-6. With mere seconds left on the clock, the Cougars added 6 points to the board and trailed by a mere 2 points. The Cougars went for 2 and tied the game 14-14 as the clock ran out.
