LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – In Sept. 1921, many thoughtful business leaders in our town founded the Boy Scouts of America’s LaFollette Council.   Fast-forward an entire century, and LaFollette’s Scout Troop 310 carries on the worthy tradition of preparing boys to become outstanding citizens.  You, as a citizen of LaFollette / Campbell County, have joined others in the past 100 years in supporting Scouting.

To help Troop 310 mark the 100th Anniversary of Scouts’ LaFollette Council, a grand celebration will be held on Thurs., Sept. 23.  This special gathering takes place at ClaiHill Farms, starting at 6:00 pm with a delicious dinner, followed by a fabulous fireworks show.  Former Scouts and Scout Leaders will also be honored.

You’ve seen the many contributions that Scouting has made on our young people.  Your financial support is vital in assisting LaFollette Scout Troop 310 reach goals of transforming boys to leaders. During the dinner, you’ll have the opportunity to donate to Troop 310 to support their Scouting activities, including summer camp and other adventures.
