JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – From the looks of the agenda and proposed budget amendments, the Campbell County Board of Education has a busy night ahead. The regular monthly meeting starts at 6pm at the Campbell County Courthouse.
Some of the highlights of the agenda include the consideration of hiring seven new teachers along with five new special education teachers. Both moves are prompted by increased enrollment. The BOE is expected to award its camera bid to Central Technologies at a cost of more than $138,000.
Paying substitute teachers a monthly bonus is on tonight’s agenda. What is on the table is that bonus payments will be paid out once a month as subs filling in five days a month receive a $50 bonus, 10 days $100 and 20 days per month comes out to a $150 bonus.
