La Follette Police had an extra active mid-day on Monday executing a narcotics search warrant at this South 12th Street home.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Neighbors pulled up chairs on their lawn to watch agents with the La Follette Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team in action at a home at 306 South 12th Street. The home is within a stone’s throw of a church and a school on the east side of town.

LPD Captain Steve Wallen notes that citizen complaints led to the investigation and pending arrests. “After learning of the complaints, we conducted a couple of months of undercover work where several purchases of meth and heroin were made. That allowed us to obtain and execute the narcotics search warrant today,” said Wallen.

Carnell Wilcox was arrested today at this east side home. Other arrests are pending.

Suspects include the man and woman who are renting the home, Cody Wilson and Kaitlyn Coligan along with Roy Ellison, Raven Roberts, Samantha Miller, Jordan Saunders and Harnell Wilcox. Wilcox was arrested on scene after he jumped out of a bedroom window and ran not realizing that officers had the house surrounded.

Captain Wallen thanks the citizens for the calls and reminds you that the LPD Drug Hotline remains open at 423.563.0727. “If you suspect illegal drug activity, please call. You don’t have to give your name,” added Wallen. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/13/2021-1PM)
