JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It’s the 47th season of Campbell County High School Football, and there has only been one time in program history when the Cougars opened a season with four-straight wins; 2016. That team ran off six consecutive victories before losing in a close game to the eventual state champion Farragut Admirals.
The 2021 version of the Cougars is 3 & 0 with a 1 & 0 region mark entering Friday night’s non-region game at Morristown with the East Hurricanes. Kick-off is 7pm.
East is 0 & 3 following home losses to Morristown West (31-20) and Dobyns-Bennett (43-7) along with a 43-25 loss at Halls. This is the 7th meeting in a series that dates back to 1997. East won the first three games with Campbell taking the last three including a 28-3 2017 win on the Burke-Toney Stadium Field on which Friday’s game will be played.
Live coverage begins at 6:30pm on Friday night on the WLAF – Doyle’s Tire Shop Sports Network.
