Larry Wayne Jones Jr., age 52 of LaFollette, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 4th, 2021. He was born on November 13th, 1968 in LaFollette. Larry enjoyed walking, racing, fishing, and especially basketball. He was member of the Wynn High School Bulldogs Sub-State Championship team, where he played point guard and got the nickname “Flash”. You could always find Larry walking the same path every day in LaFollette. Larry’s first stop of the day would be at Rainbow Restaurant for breakfast, then he would make his way to The Local for lunch, and by that afternoon you could find him sitting in one the booths at Charley’s Pizza. Larry loved to eat especially at those three restaurants but his favorite place to eat was at his mommas on Sunday. He was of the Christian faith and attended many churches in Campbell County. Larry was proudly a former electrician at Sun Electric and also worked 20 plus years at Shelby’s Grocery.

He is preceded in death by his father Larry Jones Sr.

Larry is survived by his mother, Linda Jones of Duff; daughter, Megan Dishner and husband, Donnie of Knoxville; sisters, Melinda Poore and husband, Ronnie of Duff, Tammy Jones Weaver and Barry Stratton of LaFollette, and the little sister he never wanted in which he would laugh about, Laura Lay and husband, Andy of Duff; special niece, Jailey Phillips; special great nephew, Cooper Phillips; best friend, James “Jamie” Testo; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
