JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Intersectionality. Critical Race Theory. Social Justice. Black Lives Matter. These words and phrases have divided the nation over this past year. On social media, in the news, in entertainment, in many schools, and even churches, people are using new phrases like “white privilege”, “systemic racism”, and “my truth.”  Where do these phrases come from? Are they a part of an overarching worldview? Is this worldview good or evil?

Beginning 6 pm on Sept. 8 at First Baptist Church of Jacksboro, the class “United in Truth” will be discussing these issues and what the Bible has to say about them. The class will use the Bible and will also go through the book “Fault Lines” by Voddie Baucham. In “Fault Lines”, Baucham shows that the social justice movement’s arguments and principles stand opposed to the truths in Scripture. Critical Race Theory is a new religion, one that is in conflict with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The class will meet Wednesday nights from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at FBCJ. During this time there are programs for children and youth ages 3 and older. People with younger children are encouraged to bring them to the class, but there is not a nursery available at that time. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/01/2021-6AM)

  1. This is a great and wonderful idea for a class. If we do not combat these socialist Marxist movements in each and every community, they will win. Whoever is setting this up are great Americans and Christians and should be lauded for their contributions to preserving America’s true Founding Christian values.

  2. I AGREE WITH JERRY KIDD…SO IMPORTAND FOR CHRISTIANS AND AMERICANS TO HEAR…I AM NOT ABLE TO ATTEND,,BUT MY PRAYERS WITH BE WITH THOSE WHO ATTEND AND THOSE WHO TEACH THIS CLASS….GO AMERICA!!!
