LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Got sewing or quilting projects you are working on? Come down to The Quilt Patch in LaFollette, the only full-service fabric and sewing shop in the area. Owned and operated by Joyce and Wayne Morgan, The Quilt Patch opened up in Woodson’s Mall about 15 years ago. 

First and foremost a fabric store, the shop has a huge variety of fabric to choose from for all your sewing and quilting project needs. The Quilt Patch also offers long-arm sewing machine rental for those who want to come in and work on their own quilts, but also has employees that will operate the long-arm sewing machine and do the quilting for a fee. The store also has sewing machines and long-arm quilters for sale, as well as a large selection of already made quilts.

The Quilt Patch can handle all your quilting needs. The business also sells long arm quilting machines, as well as does onsite quilting.

The fabric shop also is a meeting place for various quilting guilds, according to Morgan, who said she has been a seamstress for most of her life. Morgan said she started the shop after retiring.

“I didn’t like being retired, so I started it at first as a hobby and it just grew and grew to where it is at today,” Morgan said. An avid quilter, Morgan has made most of the quilts that are for sale in the shop. She said that while she learned sewing from her mother, she pretty much taught herself how to quilt.

The Quilt Patch has tons of fabric and quilting and sewing supplies.

“It has always just been something I enjoyed doing,” Morgan said. She also wanted to say “thank you” to all her loyal customers for their business support.
