JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Warren “Mr. Cougar” Kitts was there at Blankenship Field when it all began for Campbell County Football in August 1975 just like he was at the next 45 season openers. Until this season.

Mr. Cougar was forced to miss last Friday’s season opening win at Harrison when Campbell won 42-24 over Chattanooga Central.

Warren Kitts, also known as Dub, checked his camera before the Cougars football game at Gibbs in 2019.

Life has recently changed for Kitts who now cares for his wife Wilma. However, his streak of attending home opening games will continue tonight when he will be behind one of the cameras for the WLAF telecast. That streak is set to turn over to 47-straight. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/27/2021-6AM)
