John Francis Brennan Sr., age 85, passed away on August 25, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus for 64 years. He loved the Brooklyn Dodgers. He loved being and working at the church, and was very involved in helping build the new addition onto the church.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Margaret Murray Brennan.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gwen Brennan of LaFollette;; daughter, Amy Beth Brennan and husband James Etter of Seattle, Washington; son John Brennan Jr. of Vermont; sister Elizabeth Brennan of North Carolina; brother William Brennan of Georgia; grandchildren, Jonathan Brennan and Kathryn Brennan both of New Hampshire; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18th from 10 AM to 11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM with Father Sam Sturm officiating. Inurnment will follow at 3 PM at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church Niche in Andersonville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church’s Building fund, 1142 E. Elm St., LaFollette, Tennessee 37766 in John’s memory.
