JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – A lot of effort goes into the annual school supply give-a-way from donations to organizing the packets to distribution, and Saturday’s 12th annual event hosted by Sheriff Robbie Goins and members of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office was a success. Supplies were delivered in a drive-thru format at Jacksboro Middle School and at Veterans Park at Jellico.

“I want to thank everyone who donated to our school supply give-a-way. We had a really good turn out in Jacksboro and Jellico,” said Sheriff Goins. Goins actually began the drive just before he was first elected sheriff in 2010.

“It’s our goal to help as many children as possible every year. For the start of this program years ago, I have to say it’s one of the most enjoyable things I get to do every year,” added the sheriff.
