LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The first female Scouts BSA troop is being organized in Campbell County.

Scouting BSA Girls Troop 435 will hold an open house meeting at the La Follette United Methodist Church at 7pm on Tuesday, August 24.

Scoutmaster Liz White invites girls age 11-17 and their parents or guardians to attend this first meeting and learn more about this exciting opportunity.

“This is a great opportunity for girls looking for outdoor adventures. This is opening up more opportunities for area youth. At the open house, we will be showing the girls some of the fun things we have planned,” White said.

  1. It’s a great thing that’s happening for the young ladies of our county. Under Liz’ leadership Troop 435 will go far. You know Troop 310 will help any way that we can.
    God Bless

  2. Exciting that girls now have full access to the bsa program. My daughter, Macy, loves the outdoors and learning new skills.
