LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Crews with LUB restored power to 3,100+ customers in under an hour this morning in the Jacksboro – Caryville service area.

ORIGINAL STORY: A problem at a substation has knocked out power to more than 3,000 LUB customers in the Jacksboro – Caryville area. Crews are working to restore power and hope to have it restored in the next hour.

The cause of the power outage earlier Wednesday morning was when a bird landed between the space between the lightning arrestor and the 13kV bus on the transformer at the Jacksboro substation.
