MORLEY, TN (WLAF) – A report of a man attempting to an enter someone’s home sent Campbell County deputies to Knotty Pine Lane. The caller alleged the man identified as Eric Cecil King was yelling/talking to himself outside of the residence. Deputy Shayne Wilburn was enroute with other deputies to the home when they saw the suspect walking back down away from the home where they were dispatched.

A report from the sheriff’s department said that on Mon., Aug. 2, King appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was speaking to himself in third person, couldn’t walk straight and had slurred speech. King was detained and placed in Wilburn’s patrol car. Wilburn drove to the residence where the homeowner reported that the man did attempt to open the door of the home, but never became physical. The homeowner continued that the man was yelling and talking to himself outside while pacing back and forth. According to the report, the homeowner did not want to press charges.
