Mrs. Della Mae Paul Summers, age 93 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2021. She was a member of Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church.  Della was a loving Mother, Grandmother, house wife and homemaker.  She was compassionate and considerate of others, was a friend to everyone she met, and loved her family.  Della loved to read, and also loved her Sunday School Class.  She is preceded in death by Husband, Vernal Summers, Parents, William and Cora Paul, Brothers, Ed, Bob, and George Paul, Sisters, Carrie White, Edith Sweat, Elsie Goins, Ann Wilson, and Lois Wilson. 

Survivors:  Sons, Jerry Summers, and Bryon Summers and wife, Sidonie; Daughters, Janet Bolinger and husband, Thurman, Sue Seale and husband Gary, Brenda Russell and husband, Rev. Larry, Connie Myers and, husband, Dennis, Debbie Lambdin and husband, Keith, Teresa Jones and husband, Tim; 15Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; Sister, Josie McNeeley.  Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family would like to thank the 2nd Floor nurses and staff at Tennova LaFollette Medical Center for the tender care they offered Mom and the family.  Also, a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and Amedysis Home Health Care for all the services, support, and care given.  All the care provided was deeply appreciated.

Funeral Services Saturday, July 17, 2021, 7:00 P.M. at Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church, 597 Wildwood Circle, LaFollette, TN 37766, with her son-in-law, Rev. Larry Russell and her Grandson, Dr. Tim Jones, Jr. officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Saturday before funeral services. Family and friends will meet Sunday, July 18, 2021, 1:30 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for 2:00 P.M.
