JELLICO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Deputies and Jellico Police tracked down a wanted woman at a Jellico motel last week in the early hours of the morning.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Josh Jeffers and Deputy Shayne Wilburn along with JPD Assistant Chief Raymond Surber were looking to locate 27-year- old Mercedes Ann Taylor who was wanted on a violation of probation out of criminal court.

The trio verified that Taylor was a guest at the Days Inn at Jellico and found her in a third floor room at 3:03 am on the morning of Wed., June 3. Taylor told the officers that she was pregnant, and they placed handcuffs in front of her and double locked them, according to the report from the sheriff’s office.

Based on jail records, Taylor, unemployed, is a mother of two from Jellico and was arrested for the 15th time. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/09/2021-6AM)
