LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Shayne Wilburn responded to a call where he spoke with a woman about a man named Danny Wilson aka Dano on Mon., June 14. The woman alleged to Wilburn that the man had been selling “dope” to her kids’ father, and she was willing to help the sheriff’s department out.

While Wilburn was at the residence, Wilson called and allegedly told the woman he was going to be at the Red Roof gas station at the corner of Central and Indiana and would be waiting to sell her a baggy of crystal Meth for $125 in a black four door GMC Sierra.

Wilburn went to the area and parked across the street behind the dumpster to wait on Wilson to leave the gas station. When he left, Wilburn followed him and noticed that he crossed the white line four times. Wilburn stopped the GMC and then requested Lt. Travis Bostic to be in route with his K-9, Santo. Wilson was asked to step out of his SUV for a pat down. When he was asked if he had anything illegal or anything that would poke cut or stab, he allegedly responded no. During the pat down, Wilburn found a small baggy with crystal Meth on a bag of Marijuana on his right side. On the left side were two more small baggies with crystal Meth in them. Inside the vehicle was a crystal Meth pipe in an eye glass case and a loaded Smith and Wesson Springfield Pistol.

Wilson, 66, 123 Sycamore Drive, Jacksboro was charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance, possessing a firearm in commission of a felony, mfg/del/sell controlled substance and failure to maintain lane. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/24/2021-6AM)
