Howard Ray Terry Sr., age 80, formerly of Glade Springs

Howard Ray Terry Sr., age 80, formerly of Glade Springs departed this life Wednesday June 9, 2021. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, going to McDonald’s for coffee, and going to the gym where he was a certified trainer for an excess of 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Dorothy Terry; sister, Judy Taylor.

He is survived by sons, Howard Terry Jr. and wife Amy of Michigan, Richard Grodeman and wife Sarah of Caryville; daughter, Jennifer Terry Norman of LaFollette; 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Bill Wilson officiating. The family will meet Sunday at 10:45 AM at the funeral home and go in funeral procession to Terry Cemetery in Roses Creek for an 12 PM interment.
