CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Active arrest warrants that were issued in the morning resulted in an afternoon arrest.

Routine surveillance produced that arrest for two Campbell County Sheriff’s officers.

Det. Sgt. Gary Jeffers and Captain John Long were conducting surveillance on McGhee Blvd. at Caryville on Wednesday afternoon, May 26, when Jeffers saw Noel Alice Roy walk into the Quick Stop Market. Knowing about the morning issuance of the warrants, the officers took Roy into custody when she walked out of the market based on a report from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.

The 23-year- old Roy of Hayes Lane in La Follette was arrested without incident. This was Roy’s second arrest according to jail records.

Roy, listed as unemployed, was charged with theft of property under $1,000 dollars, destruction of evidence and counterfeit of a controlled substance. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/03/2021-6AM)
