JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Jo’s Yoga is offering ladies fitness classes for spring. Classes are limited in size to offer a personalized experienced.

Jo’s Yoga is offering ladies fitness classes for spring.

Classes include Yoga and belly dancing for weight loss, belly dancing for beginners, Yoga for back and joint pain and Yoga for rest and relaxation. Classes are on Mondays in the upstairs studio at Mother Earth Massage. Prices are $35 a month for four one-hour classes, $30 a month for four half hour classes or $10 per hour long class or $8 per half hour class. 

Belly dancing for beginners is on Mondays from 11:30 to noon. It is a basic introduction to belly dancing and a great way to destress on your lunch break. Yoga/belly dancing for weight loss is Mondays from 1 to 2 p.m. This is a faster paced Vinyasa-flow Yoga session to upbeat music. It also incorporates basic belly dancing moves designed to engage your core muscle zones. 

Yoga for back and joint pain is Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m. This session is a series of gentle Yin Yoga poses designed to relieve tension and pain. 

Yoga for rest and relaxation is Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30. It is restorative Yoga poses and meditation to help you unwind. Joanna Underwood has over 15 years of Yoga experience and 10 years in belly dancing. She began her own Yoga journey at a young age to help with back and joint pain from a fused vertebrae. Yoga and dancing helped her improve her quality of life and she has aimed these classes at helping others do the same.
