It’s a grip, grin and wave from high above the crowd.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Even before the sun went down Thursday, the crowd was beginning to grow at the Lions Club Carnival.

The carnival runs one more day; today (Saturday) behind the police station in La Follette. Hours for one of the Lions Club’s biggest fund raisers of the year are noon to 10pm Saturday.

You have love those kids who brave the magic carpet ride.

“I think people just want to be out around other people and have fun,” said Lions Club member Martha Wells. You’re encouraged to come out, support the Lions Club and have a good time. The Lions Club does a lot of good work in the community; especially for children.

The crowds are growing each night, and the weather will be pleasant for the carnival’s final two days.

Five dollar discount coupons are available at downtown La Follette merchants. That coupon knocks off $5 from the $20 wrist bands that are needed to ride the rides. Individual ride tickets are also available. Sue Vernick with the Lions Club said admission is free and there is no charge to park.

The most wanted to ride ride is the Zero Gravity, lined up across the parking lot to do this one.
As usual, the Ferris Wheel is busy.
