PIONEEER, TN (WLAF) – On Saturday, Campbell County Litter Control and Ride Royal Blue are hosting a litter and trash material clean-up of the trail system of Royal Blue.

Volunteers will meet at 9am (May 15) at the Ride Royal Blue ATV Park on Stinking Creek Road and work until 2pm. Trash bags, pick-up tools, gloves, trucks to haul off litter and containers to put material in will be provided.

Campbell County Litter Control Officer Glennis Monday is looking for 500 volunteers to come out and help in Saturday’s litter and trash material clean-up of the trail system of Royal Blue.

Campbell County Litter Control Officer Glennis Monday said “Come out and help clean-up our beautiful and majestic mountain and trails that we all ride, hike and hunt on and enjoy.” Monday’s goal is for 500 volunteers to come out.

Monday said that after the event prizes from area businesses will be given away to volunteers through a drawing at the Ride Royal Blue ATV Park. “La Follette Mine Supply, JR Kitts and many others have donated some awesome prizes,” said Monday. In addition to these random prize drawings, a special prize will be awarded to the volunteer that brings in the most unusual item off the trails.
