Cougar Tennis claims district tourney title with win over Oak Ridge

Campbell County’s historic undefeated tennis run continues.

KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Tyson Park has become Cougar Park as Campbell High Tennis continues its historic run with many of its wins coming on the courts at Tyson Park.

After winning the regular season district championship, on Monday afternoon, Campbell defeated Oak Ridge 6 to 3 to claim the district tournament championship.

Here’s Monday’s score sheet reflecting Campbell’s win over Oak Ridge.

Campbell plays in the region championship on Wednesday at Tyson Park at 4:00pm in the team competition. “It’ll be Maryville or Farragut, and we’ll know Tuesday after they play,” said Coach Josh Parker.

Doubles teams from CCHS of Garrett Medley/Jack Leach will be playing the runner up of District 4 (a Farragut team), and Nate Walden/Drew Croley will be playing the District 4 champs (Maryville).
