Owl Golfer Ethan Nelson is headed to the state tournament.

OAK RIDGE, TN (WLAF) – It’s on to the state tournament for La Follette Owl Golfer Ethan Nelson. Nelson’s golf season remains very much alive after being the 5th medalist and first individual in Monday’s regional golf tournament played at Tennessee Centennial Golf Course.

“We fell a little short of qualifying as a team for state, but Nelson qualified for the state tournament next Monday at Egwani Farms by being the 5th medalist and first individual. I’m very proud of our young team, and we will return three of our top five players for the boys and Emmalynn Woods will return for the girls,” said LMS Coach Josh Vann.

“The boys, although not qualifying as a team for state, are excited to go support Ethan at Manchester and are looking forward to next year for another successful season and another shot at getting to the state golf tournament” added Vann. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/05/2021-6AM)
