Mrs. Bettie Jo (Cotter) Shanteau, age 93, of LaFollette, formerly of Monroe Michigan went home to be with the Lord. Mrs. Shanteau was a member of Grantsboro Baptist Church. She loved to cook and care for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years: Ralph O Shanteau, parents: James Cotter and Virginia Cotter Headrick and stepfather: Ervin Headrick., brothers: Doug Cotter, Neal Cotter, David Headrick, sisters: Mary Unsworth, Marjorie Pinchoff and two infant sisters, son-in-law: Bill Claiborne.

Daughter: Virginia Claiborne and granddaughter Renay Shepherd

Sons: Jim Shanteau and wife Debbie of Monroe,
Don Shanteau and wife Kathy of LaFollette

Her grandchildren who meant the world to her: Ana Marlow and Larry of Monroe, Devin Shanteau and Torie of Monroe, Crystal Shanteau, Chantel McNeely, Andre and Amanda all of LaFollette
