LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Five ordinances and one resolution are on the front end of the City of La Follette’s agenda this afternoon. Two of those ordinances are set for final passage; Ordinance 2021-01 and Ordinance 2021-02 and will be brought up in a Public Hearing at 5:30pm at city hall. The two final readings are on Ordinance 2021-01- Ordinance abandoning a portion of unopened street located within North 14th Street of the City of La Follette and Ordinance 2021-02- Ordinance adopting and enacting a codification and revision of the ordinance of the City of La Follette Tennessee.

Also on the agenda are the promotions of three police officers; Charles Duff, Matthew Forsyth and Danielle Gilbert. Duff moves to full time staff sergeant while Forsyth and Gilbert go full time as detective sergeants.

Los Rifles, in the former Rick’s Pawn Shop and Morton-Wilson Hardware, on North Indiana Avenue has applied for a beer license.
