Larry Ray Wright, age 54 of LaFollette, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at UT Medical Center. He was born on March 13, 1967 to the late Jay F. Wright and Marcelene (Massengill) Madison. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling, spending time with his family, and going to church at Round Rock Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Johnny Massengill; and grandparents Youal and Flossie Wright and John and Betty Massengill.

He is survived by his daughters Brittany Wright and Amber Hoskins both of LaFollette; sons Matthew Hatmaker of Jacksboro and Joseph Hatmaker of LaFollette; brothers, twin brother Garry Wright of Caryville, James Wright and wife Kelli Jo of LaFollette, Doughlas Bane Jr, Roger Bane, and Jason Bane, Edward Bailey and wife Jan of Clinton; sisters Lorri Bontrager and Kristine Bane, Carolyn Thompson of Louisiana, Sherry Cook of Jacksboro, Jackie Smith and husband Gary of Clinton, Rhonda Madison of Florida, and Gloria Smith of Colorado; grandchildren Faith wright and seven other grandchildren; special friend Trish Kitts; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. David Walker officiating. The family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for a 11:00 AM internment.
