LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A late season cold snap is upon us. Wednesday opened in the 50s though a cold front is making its way across Campbell County this morning, and that will send temperatures cooling through the day into the 30s and 40s. In the highest elevations, there’s a brief chance of snow while other areas may see a patch or two of rain this morning.

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Campbell County, east Tennessee, southwest Virginia and southwest North Carolina.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
