JELLICO, TN (WLAF) – Remote Area Medical (RAM) is in need of medical volunteers to help with its Jellico May 15-16 clinic to be held at Jellico High.

RAM needs licensed dental, vision, and medical professionals, including dentists, oral surgeons, optometrists, and ophthalmologists to volunteer their time throughout the weekend.

For more information about volunteering, contact RAM’s volunteer manager Mary Brown at marybrown@ramusa.org. For more information about volunteering at a pop-up medical clinic, call 865-579-1530 or connect HERE.

Remote Area Medical is a nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality, dental, vision and medical care to underserved and uninsured individuals.

Since RAM’s founding in 1985, more than 863,000 individuals have received free services.

“RAM relies on the kindness and generosity of medical, dental, and vision practitioners and the public at large to help provide this important free care to people in need,” said RAM Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Eastman.

“Volunteers are the heart of RAM, and we are glad to be coming to Jellico to help those in need in the local community,” Eastman added. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/02/2021-6AM)
