LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “Word was he was selling pills again, and we stopped by for a visit on Friday evening,” said La Follette Police Narcotics Agent Matt Forsyth. That bit of information prompted Forsyth, along with LPD Narcotics Agent Jami Hall, to conduct a “knock and talk” at Paul Love’s North 25th Street home. Related story.

Love, who is on parole from the last time Forsyth arrested him, did have pills and cash in his possession. Forsyth said he and Hall discovered 130 pills along with $1,300 in cash. The agent added the cash was from the sale of narcotics.

LPD Sergeant Noah Riggs (with black gloves) and LPD Captain Steve Wallen count out the $20,000 in cash that was discovered inside the home of Paul Love on June 27, 2019.

Love is not long from his last stint in prison and has been back in town a few months, according to Forsyth. The 54-year- old was last arrested in the summer of 2019 at his home when he possessed 500 pills and $20,000 in cash.

Charges from this arrest for Love include possession of schedule IV Alprazolam, schedule VI marijuana, schedule II Roxycodone and schedule II Percocet. Love is due in court on May 11. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/13/2021-6AM)
