The La Follette Police Narcotics Unit was out in the predawn hours of Monday executing a narcotics search warrant.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A woman dealing drugs was the target early on this Monday morning for La Follette Police’s Narcotics Unit.

LPD Captain Steve Wallen tells WLAF that “Nicole Gibson is our target this morning. Our undercover agents have been buying illegal drugs from her at this home for a month or longer.” The captain went on to say that purchases consisted of schedule IV prescription narcotics.

Neighbor complaints and lots of traffic at the 1111 West Forrest Street home prompted the investigation.

During this morning’s quick search after the narcotics search warrant was executed, schedule VI marijuana was discovered according to Captain Wallen. The LPD Narcotics Unit arrived around 6:30 am on Monday.

Living in the home with Gibson are her boyfriend and Gibson’s two elementary school girls. All were in the home this morning. A referral to the Department of Children’s Services will be made.

Police say undercover drug buys have been made at this address for a month or longer.

According to jail records, Gibson is 33-years old and has been booked through the Campbell County Jail five times.

Arrests and charges are pending as the investigation continues. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/05/2021-7AM)
