One person was injured when a car hit a tree on Wednesday afternoon.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A small car slid off Old Jacksboro Pike Wednesday afternoon hitting a tree head on.

The mishap occurred just before 1 pm on the La Follette side of the underpass near the Midway Baptist Church.

The car hit a tree on the La Follette side of the Midway underpass.

The driver of the car suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The wreck was called in during the noon hour.
