LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It was inspiring to see the community come out in support of Mugs Ice Cream Shop last Saturday. Support was so tremendous, the shop sold out most all of its ice cream.

“It was a crazy day. We ran out of so much product that we didn’t even open back up Sunday,” said Brad Honeycutt with Mugs Ice Cream Shop.

Mugs Ice Cream Shop will be open again this weekend; Saturday only. “Our hours for Saturday only are from 2 pm until 10 pm,” said Honeycutt.

The line for the drive-up window had 20 or more cars most of the time Mugs Ice Cream was open on March 20, its first day in business.

Honeycutt and Aaron Brown, the founders of Mugs, along with their staff had a busy opening day on Saturday. The parking lot at Grace Rehab was full of cars and customers. In fact, there was a steady line of 20 cars or more in the drive-thru line.

Mugs Ice Cream is home of hand dipped and soft serve ice cream featuring freakshakes and other delightful treats. The hours are temporary and will change as the season goes along. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/26/2021-6AM)
