No one was injured in this morning’s wreck of an 18-wheeler at Caryville.

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – It’s “been a morning” for all involved in the clean up efforts of the garbage-carrying 18-wheeler that flipped on its side just after 5 am Friday morning.

“We have one lane open in each direction, and we’re making progress,” said Campbell County EMA Director Jay Muncy. UPDATE: The road was reopened a little after 11 am on Friday morning.

It’s been a team effort in clearing this Friday morning wreck scene.

The rig wrecked in the median on the Jacksboro side of the bridge that crosses America’s busiest interstate. Traffic slowdowns and back ups have affected traffic entering and exiting the interstate. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/26/2021-10:30AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF CC EMA DIRECTOR JAY MUNCY)
