LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Mugs Ice Cream Shop didn’t open on Sunday, and that’s certainly not from a lack of customers. It sold out of ice cream on Saturday, its opening day.

“It was a crazy day. We ran out of so much product that we can’t even open back up today (Sunday),” said Brad Honeycutt with Mugs Ice Cream Shop.

Honeycutt and Aaron Brown, the founders of Mugs, along with their staff had quite the opening day on Saturday. The parking lot at Grace Rehab was full of cars and customers. In fact, there was a steady line of 20 cars or more in the drive-thru line.

Mugs Ice Cream is home of hand dipped and soft serve ice cream featuring freakshakes and other delightful treats. Mugs Ice Cream is open Saturdays from 2 pm until 10pm. Sunday hours are from 2 pm to 9 pm. These are temporary hours and will change as the season goes along. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/22/2021-6AM)
