Esco Levon Owens, age 88 of Caryville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior and reunited with his loving wife on Sunday, March 21, 2021. He was born June 26, 1932 in Pioneer to the late Seborn and Odea (Stevens) Owens. He enlisted in the United States Navy on December 12, 1952 and admirably served in the field of Aviation Electronics until his honorable discharge in November 1956 as Petty Officer 3rd Class. Esco graduated from Lincoln Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a minor in Physics in 1960. From 1960 through 1964, he was a School Teacher at Jacksboro High School. Esco retired from TVA, where he was a Computer Systems Engineer. On March 29, 2001, Esco was elected as the Grand Master of the State of Tennessee. In the past one hundred and eighty-eight years, he was the first Mason to be elected as Grand Master for the State of Tennessee from Campbell County. Esco was a member, past master, and past secretary for the Jacksboro Masonic Lodge F &AM #322. He was also a member of Demory Baptist Church. Esco enjoyed woodworking, computers, music, traveling, and photography.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte (Overbey) Owens; son, Mark Levon Owens; brothers, Harley, Don, and Lindon “Doc” Owens; sister, Geraldine Owens.

Esco is survived by his son, Kevin Owens and wife, Vickie of Caryville; daughter, Karen Norris and husband, Paul of Halls; brother, Stephen Owens and wife, Jean of Jacksboro; sisters, Sharon Kay Miller and husband, J.C. of Jacksboro, Mary Joeldean Fritz and husband, Richard of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 25th, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:45 PM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will begin at 7:45 by Jacksboro Masonic Lodge F &AM #322. The funeral service for Esco will follow Masonic rites. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 26th, 2021 at the funeral home and go in funeral procession to Pond Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
