LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The call of a man passed out in a pick up truck sent a Campbell County Deputy to the Melvin Hollow community.

Late last Sunday night, Deputy Jason Shears located 38-year- old Bryan Lynn Perkey, who is allegedly homeless, passed out in a white Chevy S-10. Shears said it appeared Perkey had been passed out for several hours.

Shears reportedly found three used syringes along with a clear plastic cigarette wrapper with white residue. Perkey eventually came around and was ordered out of his truck.

During the pat down, Shears found two round peach colored pills, marked 34 375, believed to be Suboxone They were wrapped inside a $20 bill found in Perkey’s outside jacket pocket based on the report from the CCSO.

Perkey was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of schedule III controlled substance. He was released the next day, March 15, on his own recognizance and is due in court on April 27.

This was Perkey’s 16th arrest according to jail records. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/22/2021-6AM)
