Mrs. Saralyn Jennings Bowman age 84 of LaFollette passed away Monday, March 8,2021.   Along with her Husband, Dick Bowman, they moved to the area in 2001 and immediately became active with various area churches including LaFollette First Presbyterian, LaFollette First Baptist Church, and Fincastle United Methodist Church.  She and her Husband enjoyed exploring the beauty of the surrounding mountains and learning of local history.  Saralyn certainly had a great love of the beautiful East Tennessee area.  Preceded in death by Husband, Richard Holmes “Dick” Bowman in 2018, Parents, William Mansfield Jennings, Sr. and Sara Home Jennings, and Brother, William Mansfield Jennings, Jr.

Survivors:  Son, Ken Mansfield Bowman and wife, Shawn; Daughter, Danielle Bowman; Granddaughters, Victoria Paige Cribley and husband, Kyle Ernest Cribley, and Makenna Rae Douds and husband, Corbin Anthony Douds; Great-Grandchildren, Easton Lucas Douds, Grayson Cole Cribley, and one on the way; Brother, Dr. Jerome Jennings and wife, Beverly.  Several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March16, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Powell Valley Cemetery & Memorial Gardens with Rev. Malcolm King officiating.  The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Smoky Mountain Service Dogs, 110 Tooweka Circle, Loudon,TN 37774 or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas, 66675-8516.
