LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service kept a bad situation from becoming worse with quick response to an afternoon fire.

CCRFS Assistant Chief Daniel Lawson said the call of a barn fire on Axley Road came in at 2:20 pm Tuesday. Upon arrival to the Grantsboro area, crews found a shed fully engulfed, and that fire had already spread to a nearby wooded area.

Firefighters with the CCRFS were called out Tuesday at 2:20 pm.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the shed fire and contain the brush fire to around two-acres. There were no injuries.

A brush fire was contained to two acres on Tuesday afternoon.
